Last summer I mentioned that Gene seems to think he may be a puppy. It makes sense. His older "siblings" are dogs. He hears them barking and growling, so it's only natural that some of the first intelligible noises he makes are barks and growls.
With night temperatures dipping down into teens and single digits, we have the dog crate upstairs so the dogs don't turn in to pup-sicles in the basement. Gene was ignoring the crate, but this morning took a sudden interest in it.
The door wasn't latched, and Gene decided to crawl inside. He thought it was the funniest thing ever! At one point Penelope came up to the crate to check things out. From inside the crate, Gene started barking at her.
He really enjoyed opening and closing the door. He was entertained for a good twenty minutes before getting out.
Gene is at such a fun age right now. He's always doing something to make us laugh.
Too funny! At least he was entertained for a bit!
