This year, Gene's Christmas stocking had a few bath-related goodies in it. One of the things he received were these tablets you put in the tub that fizz and change the color of the water. We figured since they had Elmo on the packaging, they'd be right up his alley.
Of course, being 15 months old, Gene couldn't care less what color the bath water is. Michael, on the other hand, thinks they are the coolest thing ever.
Over the weekend, Michael was running bath water for Gene. He decided to make the water colorful.
One thing to note about the tablets is that they only come in three colors -- blue, yellow and red. If you want other colors, you have to put in more than one tablet (brilliant for teaching primary and secondary colors!).
So Michael started picking tablets out of the envelope. He somehow managed to drop the entire envelope in the bathtub. By the time I got upstairs with Gene, the water was no longer clear.
It wasn't red.
It wasn't purple.
It wasn't green.
It was nearly black.
Michael had also added bubble bath, so you couldn't see the water color unless you moved the bubbles out of the way.
It was quite an interesting looking bath. Gene didn't seem to mind the funky color. He loves searching for his bath toys in the bubbles. :)

oh my goodness, try again at about 3. K loves/loved those at that age! I think we used the non-elmo, but same concept. you're supposed to be able to make your own, but it required 'gel' face cleanser of some sort I've never been able to find in the store.
ReplyDeleteThat made me laugh so hard!
