This past weekend was Gene's first 1st birthday party!
No, you didn't read that wrong. It was the first of two parties we're throwing for his big day.
The party last weekend was held at our house and we just invited a few friends over for cupcakes.
Gene looked so cute in the shirt I ordered for his birthday party from this seller.
He did really well with his cupcake. He wasn't sure what to do at first. Once he realized it was food, he dove in. He had blue icing everywhere. It was even in his bellybutton!
Since there were only a few gifts, we let him do his best to open them on his own. He was more interested in the tissue paper than the toys inside. Once we took the paper away, he noticed the toys inside and started playing with them.
How is it that we're already celebrating our sweet baby's first birthday?
