Rachel Beth's Cloth Creations -- Review & Giveaway

Pin It Now!
Like a lot of families, it took a lot of trial and error to figure out what kind of diaper would work best overnight on Gene.  We tried several different things before settling on the Snapless Multi-Fitted from Sustainablebabyish and a cover.  I loved that we were waking up every morning to dry sheets and pajamas.  At the same time, I had this little voice in the back of my mind asking if this was our only option.  I had read about wool and fleece covers a little, but had never tried them.

Enter Rachel of Rachel Beth's Cloth Creations & More.  She is a WAHM who makes affordable cloth diapers, mama pads, and other items.  What caught my eye were the fleece diaper covers she makes.  They come in a wide variety of cute prints and colors.

The fleece diaper covers she makes are fantastic.  They're cute and functional.  Rachel sews an extra soaker layer into the crotch for added protection.  They work great over fitteds on little ones as well as for night time protection for your toddler who is potty training.

I have to be honest, I was pretty skeptical at first.  I'd heard good things about wool overnight, but fleece?  I didn't sleep well that night because I was certain Gene would wake up in a puddle at any moment.

The next morning, I was pleasantly surprised to find my son in dry pajamas and with dry bedsheets.  Gene is a fairly heavy wetter at night, so I expected the cover to feel damp on the outside.  Not the case.  The soaker on the inside of the diaper felt a bit damp, but that's the only place.

The size Large fit Gene perfectly.  There's no elastic, so there were no red marks on his belly or legs when he woke up.

One of the things I've noticed with PUL covers is that he sometimes smells like urine in the morning, even if he hasn't had a leak.  Since the fleece covers breathes, I was not greeted with any stinky odors minutes after waking up.

I washed the cover with my diaper laundry, but Rachel told me I could wash it with my regular clothes. That's a plus if you only have a couple and need to wash them before you have enough diapers for a load.

I was very impressed with this cover.  They're functional, cute, and very well-constructed.  Rachel did a fantastic job!

  1. I totally hope I win this. I try to make a lot of things myself Bc I'm a SAHM & its better $wise for us but I have never heard of these...nor used them for that matter. So cool! Thanks for the review as well. Always helps to read what others think of something before I use it. I hate disappointment.
