He only had two gifts under the tree from us.
One we purchased.
One I made.

I love the idea of opening new pajamas on Christmas Eve, so I picked up a pair for Gene at Tar-jay. He looked adorable and cozy in them. Next year I'll make sure there are pajamas under the tree for everyone, but this year I ran out of time.
The gift I made for him was a blanket. It's a simple fleece blanket. It's camouflage on one side and don't-shoot-me orange on the other. The hubs picked the fabric out back in September. Raging carpal tunnel followed by giving birth and adjusting to motherhood delayed me from sewing it until December. Just in time for Christmas!
The smile on his face shows that he clearly loves the blanket and that makes his daddy happy.

We didn't buy anything to go under the tree for our baby girl Quinn. I actually kind of felt bad about it, but she's too young to really know what it's all about. Instead of a traditional, wrapped under the tree present, I signed up for a babies only (8 months and younger) music class that starts in January. I am so excited!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a PJs tradition. My cousin made her some PJs that were wrapped and under the tree for her to enjoy on Christmas Eve :-). All of her kids also had a new set to wear! A few other family members bought her some small gifts. But for the most part there was very little new baby stuff for Quinn. It was nice. More about being together as a family rather than getting a lot of stuff.
Oh my, he looks so cute in his jammies, and great job on the blanket. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThose were the perfect presents for him! Cute PJ's!
ReplyDeleteSo precious! Love your blog :-)
