Happy belated birthday to my awesome dad, Papa T!

Okay, so I don't really call him Papa T, but doesn't it sound fun?

His birthday was July 5th, but life has been so busy since we returned from Missouri that this is the first chance I've had to post about it.

If you've been reading this blog for any length of time, you may remember that I like to make my dad birthday cakes, which are notoriously ugly.  This year's cake was, by far, the least ugly cake I've made.  I used the wrong frosting and discovered that writing on cakes isn't much fun and chose to omit the word birthday entirely.

Without further ado, I present.... the cake!

That's a blue frosting border covered in red, white, and blue star confetti... just in case anyone wondered.

I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, I promise.  I've just been ridiculously busy the last couple of weeks.  I'll post a series of entries to catch you all up on what's been going on.  I know you've missed me!

The Middle

Pin It Now! Greetings from the middle of nowhere in the middle of the country in the middle of the night!

Seriously. It's just after 3AM.

I just finished driving 250 miles and the hubster is driving the last 100 or so. I drove after a day spent in class, an evening at work, and now a night of driving. We've been having fun singing to the radio.

Now, though, I think it's time for a nap.
