I took advice from you all!
Michael and I have been missing our pizza, so this week we decided to make English muffin pizzas. I must say, they were delicious! Not only that, but they were also very low in points, which makes us quite happy. I made one for myself for lunch today. I thought I'd share the recipe I used, so here you go!
English Muffin Pizza
-- 1 English muffin
-- 1/4 cup pizza sauce
-- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-- 16 pieces of turkey pepperoni*
-- Split muffin in half. Spread half of pizza sauce onto each muffin half. Place eight pieces of pepperoni on each half and top with half of the cheese.
-- Bake at 425F for 10-12 minutes.
Serving size 2 pizzas.
6 points per serving.
*Turkey pepperoni has so many pieces in each serving, which makes for a meaty pizza!
I forgot the exact amount of points, but we make pita pizzas all the time. They are soooo good. The whole wheat pitas are the best because of the fiber, and they just seem to crisp better on an open rack in the oven.
ReplyDeleteYUM!
(PS. Kraft makes FF mozz cheese. Sure it's not as gooey, but it is a LOT less points and gets the job done.)
Yumm that sounds like something I would like and be able to make! :)
