Wedding Survey

Here's a wedding survey I swiped from Facebook. I have nothing of real value to post about today (unless you want to hear about the success of the PedEgg on my husband's feet).

1. When did you get married?
June 21, 2008

2. Where was your wedding? Where was your reception?
The ceremony was at First Baptist Church and the reception was at the local country club.

3. How long were you engaged?
16 months

4. Where was your rehearsal dinner?
First Baptist Church

5. How many bridal showers did you have?
Just one bridal shower in late March

6. How many people were in your wedding party?
3 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen, 2 ushers, ring bearer and flower girl

7. What color did your bridesmaids wear?
Black

8. Did you see your husband before the ceremony?
Nope. I was trapped in the basement.

9. What was the weather like on your wedding day?
Bright and sunny! I was worried it'd be really humid, but it was a perfect day!

10. What kind of flowers were in your bouquet?
Red roses

11. What were your "something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue?
Old -- a ring I swiped from my mom
New -- My gown!
Borrowed -- I borrowed my crinoline from Channy
Blue -- My socks. Yes, I said SOCKS!

12. Did you light a unity candle?
Yes. I obviously wasn't thinking clearly because, rather than just pick up the entire thing, I pulled my candle out of the holder.

13. Did you cry during your wedding?
I cried in the last few minutes while waiting to go upstairs. All of the emotion hit me at once. I cried a little going down the aisle, but didn't cry during the wedding. Everyone was surprised. I cried through the rehearsal dinner.

14. Where did you buy your wedding gown?
In CoMO at David's Bridal

15. What was your first dance song?
'I Cross My Heart' by George Strait

16. What flavor was your wedding cake?
White!

17. Did you smash cake in each other's face or were you "nice"?
A little bit. I mouthed 'be nice' to my new husband, which prompted him to squish cake. Before he got too carried away, I pushed him away with my piece.

18. Did you freeze the top layer of your cake and eat it on your first wedding anniversary?
We did save the top tier. Ask again in June if we ate it!

19. When did you open your wedding gifts?
The next morning at my parents' house.

20. Where did you go on your honeymoon?
What honeymoon?
