The Girls

I thought I would continue the wedding day saga for a second day in a row. By doing so, I feel as though I'm actually keeping good on my promise to chronicle the day I became a wife. There aren't as many photos today -- sorry!

We decided to take individual photos before the ceremony so that we could get to the reception faster. The boys went first while we got dressed downstairs. No, we did not see each other before the wedding. It was a looooooong day for me while I waited to see my groom.

This is me. Obviously. I think I pulled off that 'bride' look pretty well. Aren't the flowers gorgeous? I spent a lot of time thinking about my bouquet. I knew I wanted red roses. I called around for prices and was unhappy with everything I heard. Eventually, I decided to take matters into my own hands. The day before the wedding, my mother and I drove to the next town to Wal-Mart, where we purchased three dozen red roses for my bouquet for $30. I carried 35 of them and Michael wore the 36th on his lapel.

Me and Chantel, my matron-of-honor, whom I have known since junior high.

Me and Sarah, who has been my friend since the 7th grade, when we were in junior high band together.

Me and Kara! I met her through Sarah in junior high.

Me and my lovely bridesmaids!

  1. I LOVE that you got the flowers for your bouquet from Wal-Mart. Wayta stick it to those stupid, overpriced floral designers. ;) We did silk flowers at our wedding...except for the corsage and boutonnieres.

  2. I was Bridesmaid #1 (unofficial maid of honor - the other bridesmaid didn't do anything to help! So I claimed the title myself LOL) in my friend, Marissa's, wedding and she made her own bouquet too. I think it's the way to go. She also made the bridesmaid's bouquet's. Here are links so you can see them :)
